Have several Abstracts in the works

Here is another small painting I have in the works.  Sometimes I sort of like the organized messiness.  I find if I try to clean them up too much, they lose the spontaneous parts and the nice textures.  I'm liking this one so far but it can always change when I live with it for a few days.
I've been thinking of trying to incorporate some of my figures into the abstracts.

Ooooooohhhh, I like that one! Love the colors and the "feeling" of it. How do I get a picture inside my blog title? Maybe I should check before asking...Is there a place to add a picture? Do I check "shrink to fit"? Isn't it amazing, this world of blogging? Meeting such wonderful, talented people! I just LOVE it!

Hi Donna, Thanks! Yes, you actually sound like me, I am always asking questions of how other bloggers do cool stuff on their sites. This one I know though, you just click on customize and then click on the edit icon for your banner and upload a photo just like any other post. I found that I had to first edit this little snippet from a painting and save it like a photo so that it would be there and in the right shape to fit when I uploaded it to my blog banner. It's actually the bottom section of one of my abstracts. Good luck and thanks for stopping by. I will come see what you are up to.

I like this one a lot. I hope you don't change it too much. Of course, you're the painter, not me.

Thank you Tonya...if I try it and the pic I select does not fit, then I can delete it without deleting my banner title? The pic will be in the background, right? and then Mystical Journeys over it?
Thanks so much. Are you finished with that Abstract I liked? What is it called?

Hi Lynne, thanks so much! What a nice thing to say. I enjoyed your blog and your wonderful faces.

Thanks O-Zone, It's safe so far as i did still like it this morning!

Hi Donna, no problem. It shouldn't effect your banner lettering as it is a separate layer. I think the painting you liked was 'waiting on the world to change'. Everyone likes that one. Maybe I should make prints. LOL!

This one is dynamic like the surf rushing toward the shore. Lots of interesting texture and wonderful balance of color. It will be interesting to see how you resolve it. And, thanks so much for commenting on my blog. I left a response for you. It's great to be able to "discuss" the professional aspects of being an artist with others. Cheers!

Dear Tonya, I am so glad to have found you! I love your paintings, both abstract and figurative. You are asking the same questions that I am asking of myself, bringing the two together. I am trying to start off in a completely abstract way. I then turn the piece around and try to find the figures in the work and then bring them up just a bit so the work remains abstract but it still telling a story.

Hi Dianne, I'm so glad you found me too! You must of lost track of me after helping me with my slideshow on my blog. I see you are still doing wonderful work. Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry Tonya,
I completely dipped out of blogworld for a few months - your slideshow is great!

I like the look of your abstracts -and this one is great, I like the spontaneous feel of it - I feel encouraged to do something like this and then add a figure to it.
Thanks for inspiring me!

Rosalie
