Changes on go fly a kite
After living with this painting I felt it was too busy so I changed it quite a bit. It seems to work in every direction now.
Mixed media on Arches cold press 30"X 22".
I love the way this painting is emerging and then parts are being destroyed and then re-emerging! Thank you for sharing your journey with this painting!
Dianne, Jan, Manon, Kathy and Sheila, Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback. It's so great to get opinions instead of just sitting with your painting in your studio wondering about what you've created. Thanks so much for taking the time! Sheila, the painting is on standard watercolor paper 30"X22"
Great stuff here Tonya. I went through you slide show. That painting of Aspen is wonderful! It's so difficult to capture the personality of a dog or cat... but you succeeded totally!
Love that, really beautiful Tonya. The only thing I can think to add is that IMO the bigger the better on these...hate to see all that brilliance confined to 22x30!
Jack, thanks, I do love my little dog so appreciate the compliment about her personality!
Chrissie, thanks for the follow and the nice compliments about my work and blog.
Hey Nick, funny you should say that as I have been itching to do something bigger lately probably from inspiration from your recent work. I have a roll of paper that I had given up on as it was so difficult to unroll and by the time I got a piece flat it was so covered with dirt and dog hair I couldn't do watercolor on it! LOL! Since seeing your DVD and how you handle the paper I am encouraged to try again. Unfortunately my roll of paper and I are states apart until after the first of the new year. Thanks for the encouragement and listing me on your blog!
Thanks to all of you again for your warm encouragement.

Wow! You really change this one! I liked it before but it is even better now. You know I am your biggest fan!
You did really change this Tonya!! I'm with Jan in that I thought it was great before but it's gorgeous now!!
Great balance, and the simplification works. Terrific!
Love the metamorphosis of this.... So much depth and movement now. How big is this Tonya?

It is such a treat to browse your blog and see so many wonderful abstract works. I'll have to visit here often!
