Sometimes just the impression or feeling -- like the mountain view you have-- is all that is needed. And sometimes, viewing ones work in a different format-- like a mirror-- helps see things that up front viewing does not show up at first.

Tonya... I can so relate to this post. When I get my pics up I sometimes can't believe it's the same painting.
I love "Colorado Monument"! It's amazing!!

Thanks Donna, that's a great idea! I have often used the mirror view for realistic works to see if my perspective is correct etc. but oddly enough, hadn't thought of using it for the abstracts.

Manon, it must be like that for others as well. Thanks for the compliment! And thanks again for the beautiful cards!

I like this one a lot too, you really have a great feel for this kind of work. Probably said it before: the only "suggestion" I can make (not that you need) is bigger the better IMO. Did you project this one???? heheheh

Nick, Dude! Don't you know you can't do this kind of work without the Magic projector! Hello!? You have to project it and trace it out in detail every dribble and drop, and then dump a lot of paint on it and squeegee the heck out of it and tad-ah! There it is... a masterpiece! I'm sure you can relate as you must work in the same way! LOL! You are too funny!

Hector Projector! As my learned colleague has stated above, you have some talent for making a rectangle look great. Like a flower or a short skirt, they just work. I refuse to try to find something else in an abstract painting. Names and language spoil it for me. It is what it is.

Mystey Artist, Long time! Thanks for stopping by with such an encouraging compliment.

David, thanks for checking out my work! I thoroughly enjoyed perusing your blog yesterday, such wonderful watercolors!
I hear you on the abstract idea, you either like them or you don't and not much else you can say. I'm glad to get a nod for my rectangles! LOL! "Hector Projector" LOL! Love that!
