Its so strange how these paintings look pretty good to me until I see them on the blog. Then I want to change them. I like the colors in this but I'm wondering about some of the marks now. I have a pretty big mac monitor and I wonder how different monitors show the color and depth of layers. I am particularly questioning the dark squiggle in the lower right. I called this Colorado Monument because it reminds me of the view of the Monument I can see out the front door of my temporary home. Although I didn't have any such thing in mind while painting it. I guess I have a pretty good imagination! LOL!

Sometimes just the impression or feeling -- like the mountain view you have-- is all that is needed. And sometimes, viewing ones work in a different format-- like a mirror-- helps see things that up front viewing does not show up at first.
Tonya... I can so relate to this post. When I get my pics up I sometimes can't believe it's the same painting.

Thanks Donna, that's a great idea! I have often used the mirror view for realistic works to see if my perspective is correct etc. but oddly enough, hadn't thought of using it for the abstracts.

I like this one a lot too, you really have a great feel for this kind of work. Probably said it before: the only "suggestion" I can make (not that you need) is bigger the better IMO. Did you project this one???? heheheh
Nick, Dude! Don't you know you can't do this kind of work without the Magic projector! Hello!? You have to project it and trace it out in detail every dribble and drop, and then dump a lot of paint on it and squeegee the heck out of it and tad-ah! There it is... a masterpiece! I'm sure you can relate as you must work in the same way! LOL! You are too funny!

Hector Projector! As my learned colleague has stated above, you have some talent for making a rectangle look great. Like a flower or a short skirt, they just work. I refuse to try to find something else in an abstract painting. Names and language spoil it for me. It is what it is.
