I decided to play around with the camel stamps I made and just see what came up and here is the result. I just kept reworking the ghost plate from each pull and so there are several variations on the original theme.

The first piece is the work that speaks to me the loudest. I think that's because when I squint, the dark colors create a more pleasing compositional frame. I also like the scribbled lines of this one best.
I like the second one because of the camel print on the left side. You are amazing! Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Love you!
I seem to be drawn to all three of these for different reasons!! Great work!!
I saw this piece as a thumbnail over at Maggie Ruley's site and I had to come over for a visit...love the camels...composition and color! The first photo takes my breath away.
Mick, thanks for stopping by. I have to say I agree with your assessment on the framing of the first one. I do like the dark frame on it. The lines do show up nicely as well. I appreciate your comments!
Hi Jan, sure do miss you my friend! I do like that part of the second one as well. Funny how sometimes taking off a layer of ink reveals nice things and sometimes the darker ink is nice. Thanks for being so supportive!
Hi Mannon, you are doing some amazing work for a lazy Summer! I like different parts of each one too. That is what keeps you going with each print as something good comes out of each one that you couldn't get any other way. Having commented on the first two I'll say about the last one that I like the lower multicolored stripe with the greenish camels marching along above it. Thanks for your visit!
Blue Sky Dreaming, thanks, so much! You can't ask for a much more affirming comment than "It takes my breath away"! I admire your work and I must confess, I am lusting after your press! Is there a great story that goes with that beautiful photograph?
I vote for #2, I'd like to see that wall-sized!
Thanks Nick! I will work on that. Great idea!
These are just fantastic! Are they woodblock prints? I have a special interest in learning about that..have tried many other printmaking technniques but not woodblock. Love the camels..my grandfather brought a wood carved line of camels home when he visited the Middle East in the 1970's..I have them here now.
