not finished after all

Okay, I worked on this one a little more. I didn't like the way the upper stripe seemed split in two parts so I consolidated that a little more and I made the focal point a little stronger and more interesting (I hope).  I'll see if that holds my attention.  I tried editing this down as per Nicholas Simmons's suggestion but then I couldn't zoom in and see the details.  I will work on my editing skills.

Your painting pic is way too big for my monitor, your profile pic is way too small!
I like this piece a lot - I usually go for the stage where the person thinks it's unfinished, or it's less-finished, but here I believe the extra work added rather than detracted. (something along the lines of that hippocratic oath about doing less harm....). Agree the more consolidated passage is stronger.

I will look into what a good pixel size would be. I didn't actually change the profile pic though, I just uploaded it like the rest so don't know how to fix that.
Thanks, I agree that the still unfinished stage is a precarious one and a bit scary. I followed a link from your site to Joseph Zbukvic's site and love the quote on his film clip..."Every painting that's ruined is preceded by the words 'I'll just do this!' " So true! but you have to take risks or you don't learn anything new.
Glad to get an opinion that I didn't totally ruin it! Thanks for taking the time to comment!

I don't usually post anything online that is more than 800 pixels in one dimension

Oh great, thanks! I've been trying different sizes and they are still too big. I will try the 800 range. Really nice of you to help me out. Thanks again! Cheers, Tonya
